Academics (S.T.E.M)

At Central we know learning through STEM gives students tools to develop creative and systemic problem solving, collaborative networks, leadership abilities, and long-term strategic outlooks. STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and math, which focuses on promoting creativity and exploration in the learning process. Central teachers use project-based learning to create products that demonstrate 21st Century skills. Through project-based learning, students are encouraged to find their own answers and draw their own conclusions using state of the art technology and resources.​


Central High School has invested much into having a quality summer transition program. Our unique blended course offerings under the umbrella of the Student Centered Learning platform focuses on analytical problem solving, collaborative teaming with a Project Based Learning focus on real world college, career and entrepreneur readiness has intrigued students and parents to our program.

Central’s Athletic Department is dedicated to the full rounded development (athletically, academically and socially) of all of its athletes.

Athletic Director Lynn Sanders guides the Trailblazer’s competitive athletics program, which includes varsity and J.V. football, varsity volleyball, cheerleading, boys/girls cross-country, boys/girls varsity & J.V. basketball, boys/girls track and field, baseball and softball.
